COORDINATOR

The Position

We are looking for coordinators from a variety of professional backgrounds to support in the management of departments within our organisation based in Ioannina. For these positions, the minimum commitment is 6 months.

Many of Second Tree’s current coordinators learned how to manage a program or a department with us. We have a strong focus in capacity building and we give a big importance to people who can commit with us for a long period of time, as this gives us the possibility to invest in someone’s role inside the organisation. Valuable people are our biggest asset. Our coordinators grow through the ranks, after having developed an understanding of the organisation, the different areas and the people involved, shadowing other team members and seeing the camps. We encourage (and need) people to take over responsibilities as the organisation is growing quickly and we generally have a turnover of several volunteers who come short-term, and cannot take over managerial tasks.

We are seeking applicants who have the desire to take on coordination roles in any of the following departments. The possible tasks and responsibilities included below are not exhaustive or rigidly defined; an exact role profile is dependent on the skill set of individual applicants.
