We support a youth scouts program which provides a safe space for children of all genders and ethnicities to build identity.
With youth participation and family engagement at the core.
Female participants make up more than 50% of the members and take on leadership roles.
We can use all kinds of support! Are you passionate about scouts and have ideas to share? We’d love to hear from you!

According to the UN Refugee Agency, education is the surest road to recovering after the trauma children experience during displacement. We support a refugee scouts program that provides a safe space for refugee youth to process trauma.
Through the Second Tree scouts program, refugee youth build community, act as role models, and take language classes. This is important for making friends and integrating into their new community!
The program builds on four core values: kindness, focus, responsibility, and teamwork.
At the weekends, scouts explore the local area by going on excursions outside of camp. The youth scouts begin developing a sense of belonging and familiarity with their new community. The peer scout leaders are responsible for their group and are trained to support learning and implement activities.
