We provide daily English language classes at three refugee sites in Epirus: the Mikro Polis Community Centre, Agia Eleni Refugee Site and Katsikas Refugee Camp. Our students are aged 11+ and come from over 10 different countries.
Our classrooms are spaces that allow refugees to feel human again, regain their agency and re-engage in learning that can help them acquire new skills. With quality at the forefront, the classes are taught by qualified volunteer teachers who follow the Cambridge Empower syllabus.
In addition to learning essential life skills through a new language, we provide our students with the opportunity to prepare for an accredited language test – an asset to socio-economic integration in Europe and beyond.
How can you help? We can use all kinds of support! Are you a qualified teacher interested in working with us? Can you provide skilled trainings to our staff or community? Do you have time to assist remotely? We would love to hear from you! Get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org or help us continue our work by donating below.
