We provide English 15 language classes per day at 3 sites in Epirus: the Mikro Polis Community Centre, Agia Eleni Refugee Site and Katsikas Refugee Camp at literacy, beginner, elementary and pre-intermediate levels. Our students are aged 11+ and come from over 10 different countries.
While the psychosocial component of educational activities in this context is a top priority in our classrooms, we also ensure that the students have access to high quality teaching resources delivered by qualified teachers. The classes follow the Cambridge Empower syllabus and correspond to the A1, A2 and B1 levels of the Common European Framework for Language Reference. Aside from learning essential life skills through a new language, we provide our students with the opportunity to prepare for an accredited language test – an asset to socio-economic integration in Europe and beyond.
